UL RECOGNISED MANUFACTURER FILE NUMBER E96467 (M)
More and more of the board designs we see at CC Electronics are calling for Underwriters Laboratories recognition and we are pleased to be able to offer the complete range of our board types to 94V-0, the highest flammability classification achievable under UL 796 Standard for Printed Wiring Boards.
Underwriters Laboratories are a US based independent organisation with responsibility for safety testing on products for the US market.
To obtain our approval we have to submit our manufacturing process route, process parameters, base laminates, solder resists, and some design features (minimum track widths, maximum base copper weight, thinnest core) to UL along with sample panels made using their test pattern.
These are then tested by UL and we are assigned a flammability rating for each type of board, all of our boards are rated 94V-0.
We are then subject to four unannounced inspection visits each year by a UL auditor who, in addition to checking our materials and processes, takes random samples of current production for follow up testing at UL.
When you receive boards manufactured by CC Electronics you can check if they are UL Recognised by the following markings in the notation.
U
CCY A 94V-0 **** (YEAR AND WEEK)
U
CCY D 94V-0 **** (YEAR AND WEEK)
U
CCY E 94V-0 **** (YEAR AND WEEK)The above marking means the board is: a UL Recognised Component (
U) approved for the Direct Support of Current Carrying Parts(
) , manufactured by CC Electronics (CCY), the letter (A,D or E) refers to the type of board, with a Flammability Rating of 94V-0 (the highest rating) and the year and week of manufacture.
Mid sized logo when the above will not fit:
CCY A, D or E 94V-0 ****(YEAR AND WEEK)
Minimum logo where there is no space for the above:

As we continue to expand our range of materials these are added to our UL File to ensure we can supply all your requirements with the appropriate approvals.
